Where are we in Sardinia?

Website sections:

The beach is long, clear and broad, delimited on one side by a reef. Just few meters away from the sea, a marvellous Mediterranean vegetation decorate the landscape. Its name comes from the ancient Sardinian god of water: Maimone.

In the seabed corresponding to central area of the beach, you’ll find some rocks and a bank of Posidonia oceanica (algae).

Perfect for

Relax and take a sun bath.

Beach features

Medium-grained sand with some small quartz stones; sea slopes down rather quickly.

No bathing facilities;
in two nice typical wooden buildings on the beach you’ll find the restaurant and bar facility:
one of these two restaurants is particularly appreciated for its excellent cuisine with the possibility to order special dishes like roasted pig or lobster:
Parking lots with a fee during summer period:
Some services are limited to some specific seasonal periods.

From Oristano, head north following the directions to Torregrande; then you’ll find a roundabout after 4 km; take direction «Tharros – spiagge del Sinis».
After about 10 km pay attention because the indication to Maimoni – Oasi di Seu is not so visible. Turn right and continue for about 5 km on a dirt road.

Useful informations

For cyclists and bikers: because of the dirt road, in the periods where the beach is more crowded, this road tract will be particularly dusty.

Warning: no chance to buy magazines, newspapers, sun creams or any beach equipment on site, unless going to the nearest village, about 12 km away.

Possible difficulties with the mobile phone reception.
