Putzu Idu
Description
Very long beach with clear white sand in a fishermen’s village. It is the summer residence of most of the inhabitants of the neighbouring villages.
The seafront is quite lively both during the day and the warm summer evenings by several events including the sandcastles contest that will reach its XII edition this year, the tasting of typical local delicatessen, folkloristic or cultural evenings and entertainment for kids, such as checkers tournaments.
Moreover, most of the seaside bars and the nearby nightclubs stay open until late and offer a pleasant opportunity for young people.

Families with children and for surfing and windsurfing.
Beach features
Very fine-grained sand; sea slopes down extremely slowly and remains very shallow for about 50 meters.

Directions
From Oristano, head North following the route SS 292 towards Cuglieri. After about 13 km, turn left on route SP 10 towards Putzu Idu and continue for about 11 km.
Useful informations
The beach is quite crowded in high summer season.
Possible difficulties with the mobile phone reception.
